Meet Our BSM Consulting™ Technology Services Team

Beverly Schochet (member of Senior Management Team)

Ms. Schochet is vice president of Technology Services at BSM Consulting responsible for establishing and managing the Information Technology Department and defining and implementing a technology strategy to support the company's business model. Ms. Schochet's accomplishments include designing and developing the company's global website applications.

Ms. Schochet has more than 25 years of information technology experience. Areas of expertise are application/database design and development and building client information reporting systems utilizing web portal technologies.

Responsibilities include analysis of business requirements, design and documentation of technical systems specifications, program construction and implementation, and project and timeline management. Ms. Schochet has a proven background in planning and organizing with an emphasis on meeting business objectives. She is recognized for her ability to readily analyze and create innovative solutions for complex business initiatives.

Past employers include Citibank, Bank of America, PCS Health Systems, and Hewitt Associates. Ms. Schochet earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration.

Zachary Akbar

Mr. Akbar is a Multimedia Developer at BSM Consulting, working in the Scottsdale, Arizona office. Mr. Akbar researches, develops and implements emerging and new technologies to further enhance the company's website portfolio. He is also responsible for the design and development of multimedia applications as well as producing and developing web-based training videos. He is instrumental in developing interactive eLearning modules for US and international clients as well as supporting the technical design and development needs of the Technology Services team.

Prior to joining BSM, Mr. Akbar began his career at Anthem College in Phoenix, Arizona as a Graphic Designer and worked his way to a Senior Graphic Designer position. As a Team Leader, he was responsible for creating and manipulating content-driven graphics using the Adobe products and for creating product demonstrations and simulations with Adobe Captivate and Camtasia Studio. He worked extensively in the development of eLearning courses by building course templates and flash-based interactive course content.

Mr. Akbar received his Associates of Science Degree in Digital Design and Animation from High-Tech Institute, Phoenix, Arizona. He achieved the Scholastic Excellence in Digital Design and Animation award and is a member in the “ETA” chapter of Alpha Beta Kappa.

Michael Smith

Mr. Smith is a Graphic Designer at BSM Consulting, working in the Scottsdale, AZ office. He is responsible for creating effective, engaging web/print designs that support BSM business objectives as well as maintaining and updating current client and intranet websites.

Mr. Smith began his career as a graphic designer in 1996 in the field of technology and design. He has expert knowledge in the Adobe suite of design software.

Prior to joining BSM, Mr. Smith worked independently as a freelance website/graphic design contractor. His accomplishments included designing a user interface for a voice and video communications web application as well as providing web site design, graphic design, and interactive media design for a wide variety of clients.

Mr. Smith received his Associates Degree in Digital Arts from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona.

Susan Williams

Ms. Williams is a Graphic Designer at BSM Consulting, working in the Scottsdale, Arizona, office. She joined BSM in early 2008 after completing her studies at Northern Arizona University.

Ms. Williams' experience includes both print and web design. At BSM, her responsibilities include website design and development. Working closely with other members of the BSM team, she uses her abilities to transform ideas into appealing, user friendly web applications. She is always looking to expand her knowledge to create a meaningful user experience.

Ms. Williams' earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication with an emphasis in both Graphic Design and Computer Imaging from Northern Arizona University.

 

Alana Marxen

Ms. Marxen is a Web/Graphic Designer at BSM Consulting, working in the Scottsdale, Arizona, office. Ms. Marxen’s specialty is pushing the limits with design and building aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly interactive online solutions. She maintains an integral role as a part of the Technology Services team at BSM Consulting by bringing new practical and captivating ideas to various web design and development projects.

Alana graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication and an Emphasis in Computer Imaging. She began her career in 2003, as a Flash Animator / Graphic Artist for a small multimedia studio located in Flagstaff, AZ. She was responsible for the creative design and development of bilingual interactive eLearning programs for elementary schools throughout Northern Arizona.

Since then she has worked as a Web Designer and Developer and the Director of Web at two interactive agencies providing top-notch web design and development solutions for a diverse range of industries. Alana maintains the mentality: ‘Anything is possible with web design, and anything can be developed’. This mentality has enhanced the creativity of projects at BSM Consulting making them unique, exciting, and visually stimulating for our website users and eLearning students.

 

Kristen Weidner

Ms. Weidner graduated from Minnesota State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Clothing and Textiles in Business and a Marketing minor. She began her career working in retail and subsequently moved on to join a property and casualty insurance company in their customer service area before starting at BSM. She has an extensive background in customer service and sales.

At BSM, her responsibilities include working with clients to create online patient satisfaction survey programs. Kristen is keenly aware of the value that online surveys provide to our clients and plays a pivotal role in developing enhancements and improvements in this area. She also works closely with the technology services team on a variety of IT-related issues.
